Employees can explain the reason for their
request either in writing via the Web or
by dictating the information to a TALX Client
Service Representative. The detailed correction
request is placed on a secure Web site accessible
only by the employer.
To approve a W-2c request, the employer
enters the correct information via the Web
along with an optional letter of explanation.
TALX generates a W-2c and mails it
to the employee along with the original
W-2 and the letter of explanation. TALX also allows for a letter of explanation
to be sent to an employee whose W-2c request
was not approved.
In the event that you discover an error
that requires a large number of W-2cs to
be furnished, you can send a W-2c data file
and the service will add the information
to the database and send the W-2cs to the
employees. If you discover an error for
a single employee, you can use webManager to create a W-2c. |
